The Singing Bird

Her Name Was Grace and She Liked Digging

Today, I got visited by a dog! It was a Maltese/Shi-tzu like my dogs! It came in my front door with a delivery man just after I got home from work, and my two dogs went crazy like they usually do, and then suddenly there were three dogs underfoot instead of the usual two! CONFUSION REIGNED.

Happily, it had a registration tag so I put it in the back yard and called the council. And they called the owner, who sent her colleague over to pick it up.

Happy Ending.

Listlessness on Friday Night

Hell may freeze over just from me verbalising this, but… peak-hour public transport in Adelaide is actually pretty great, at least to and from my suburb. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes, and often it’s more like 30 seconds. I’d wager I get home from work as quickly by bus as I would by car.

The problem is the other 23 hours of the day, when public transport in Adelaide NEEDS TO GET STABBED WITH A PITCHFORK. HOW MANY MONTHS OF MY LIFE HAVE I WASTED SITTING AT BUS STOPS?!

Arr.

The only vaguely interesting thing that happened today is that my puppy can totally fetch. It is cute. It gets a bit less cute when I am lying on the floor in front of the gas heater (default position from June to August) and he invites me to play by running straight for me and shoving his dogspit-soaked toy into my eyeballs!!

Oh who am I kidding. It is still pretty damned cute.

And “Fluffy”

My puppy’s name is Max. It isn’t short for anything, it’s just Max.

So far, here are the names he answers to:
Max
Maxy
Maxyface
Maxypants
Maximilian
Maximus
Maxling
Maxibon
Maxicap

Heh.

Puppy!

So. My dog Chloe has been a little bit down in the dumps ever since she lost Toby the cat this October (he was her favourite thing in the entire world). Having discovered over the years that dogs are just better than cats, no offence to the passed, we didn’t really want to replace him with another cat. So in conclusion, there is a puppy!! His name is Max and he likes to keep people awake at night but gosh is he cute.
