So in summary, I had several weeks over the holidays to do three assignments. I did not do them. I have to do two of them by Wednesday and one by Thursday. I am very cranky and the world is stupid!

Also if I had paid more attention in lectures rather than thinking about how bored I am of uni all the time, I would probably have a better idea of what I’m meant to be writing?

Also I still don’t have last semester’s marks, and why do I always sabotage my own life?!

Edit: Heh I seem to have these brief shining moments of being a nice person in between impending assignment deadlines. I would be so much easier to get along with if people would stop making me do work!

Someone totes tried to take me out with their car while I was driving home tonight. I was planning a blog entry at the time but nearly getting squished completely wiped whatever I was going to say from my mind! So instead you get a story about a watch band, yay.

Cold cold cold cold cold OH MY GOD WHY IS IT SO COLD!!?

gaaah.

A theme seems to be emerging from this blog: “how to make total mundanities a tiny bit more interesting to appease that feeble spark of life within you”. What’s fun is walking home from the bus stop in really loud heels while listening to music on your iPod that has exactly a walking tempo. I was totes the percussion section!

When I wasn’t being intellectually stimulated by my shoes, today I learned the lesson of “don’t buy stuff online if you don’t have to”. I ordered one of the brand new iMacs on Tuesday from the Apple online store. 24-hour shipping blah blah. The reason I did it online was that I also wanted something cheapish from Apple that I couldn’t find in real shops, and if I bought it at the same time as an iMac I could save $9 shipping. I am tight!

Anyway I am very excited for my computer. Patience is a virtue I lack. I was so tempted to stay home from uni on Thursday in case it came, although guilt won out, and quite luckily because it didn’t come until today anyway. BUT TRAGICALLY, I had to be at work all day today and even though there were only about two hours when there was no one home, that was when it came :( DAMN YOUR POOR TIMING, TNT!! So now, I cannot get my iMac until Monday because it is locked up in a storeroom at Adelaide airport :’( And even then they don’t do deliveries until Tuesday so I have to drive over and get it myself. Sigh?

The moral of the story is: parking in town may be hard, but just go to freaking NextByte, Claire, geez.

Also today, I had a fairly solid panic attack over what to cook for dinner. I… think I have too many assignments :(

THIS IS THE LIZARD THAT TRAPPED ME IN MY BEDROOM.

It was like… 35cm and angry? I was scared!!

Here is a story about how I got attacked by nature. I am not attacked by nature as often as, say, my friend Beth is, but I do think it happens more often that statistically likely, especially given the (small) amount of time I even spend outdoors.

So, on Tuesday, I innocently got into my car and then realised I had forgotten my phone. To go get it, I needed to brush past a few shrubs out the front of my house, and I felt a kind of scratch on my knee. My thought process was “oh a twig scratched me gosh that hurts it must have been one pointy twig why is it hurting so much OMG OW WHAT IS THAT STICKING OUT OF MY LEG”. So I hobbled into my bathroom and pulled out the bee sting :( And then this was my leg!:

Four days later, IT STILL HURTS. AND IT’S INCREDIBLY ITCHY AND I CAN’T PUT ANY PRESSURE ON IT OR EVEN SCRATCH IT.

Wah.

It’s not so clear in the picture, but it’s actually gone a bit bruised and purple now as well.

So, apparently Tuesday is nature-attacks-Claire day. The Tuesday before this, a blue-tongued lizard cornered me in my bedroom :( That sucked too.
